Farming Tips and Tricks

There are no perk cards, magazines, and/or backpack mods that will increase your yields.

You can farm the below honeycomb spawn locations in one of two ways:

The first way is to collect all the honeycomb, hit the book house, server hop, collect the honeycomb, hit the book house, server hop, rinse, and repeat.

The second way will net you more honeycomb but you are going to need two Xbox's and or a friend. To make it easier to explain, you will be player # 2, and your friend or second Xbox is going to be player #1.

  • Player # 1 needs to reset their pick-up history list and then server hop to a new server.

  • Player # 1 then needs to fast travel to the first honeycomb location and stand next to it.

  • Player # 2 needs to wait until Player # 1 is standing next to the honeycomb before fast-traveling to the first honeycomb location (this is an important step).

  • Once player # 2 arrives, player # 2 can pick up the honeycomb.

  • Player # 1 then needs to fast travel to the second location and stand next to it.

  • Player # 2 needs to wait until Player # 1 is standing next to the honeycomb before fast-traveling to the second honeycomb location.

  • Once player # 2 arrives, player # 2 can pick up the honeycomb.

  • Rinse and repeat for the next location

  • Server hop and do it all again

Player # 1 must not touch the honeycomb at all. If player # 1 accidentally picks up the honeycomb, then they will need to go and reset their pick-up history list, server hop, and start the run again.

Fixed spawn locations - Honeycomb

External - a location that does not require a load screen to enter.
Internal - a location or instance that requires a load screen to enter.

Forest

Lady Janet's Soft Serve

External

1x Honeycomb

You can fast travel to Aaronholt Homestead and run through the field at the back, however I prefer to follow the road from Lady Janet's down. There are two random spawn locations along the road, one of which is a possible spawn location for the Responder Bot.

As mentioned above, spawn in at Lady Janet's. Run forward, over the top of the shed, until you hit the road. Turn right and follow the road, down the hill, and all the way around until you see a truck and car accident.

The honeycomb is on the back of the truck, nearly the back wheel, next to a can of Cajun rice & beans.

Keep an eye on the enemies that spawn here. If the truck or car blows up, then the honeycomb will go flying into the bushes making it difficult to find.

If the truck or car does blow up and the honeycomb goes flying, fast-travel out of the cell (back to Lady Janet's is fine) and then come back. The cell should have reset and the honeycomb will be back on the truck.

Moonshiner's Shack

External

1x Honeycomb

From the fast travel point, run up the hill to the shack. Enter the first building on your right.

On the ground, against the back wall, next to some wooden barrels, in the wooden crate is the next piece of honeycomb.

If you are quick enough then you can also score some tick blood and tick blood sacs.

Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06 (South Expansion)

Internal

1x Honeycomb

As this is an instanced location, the per-world spawn rule does not apply. This means that you can keep running different characters into this location to collect the honeycomb without having to server-hop.

From the fast travel point, turn and face North. You will need to enter the building that is directly in front of you. The door is on the other side of the large brown metal tank.

Once inside, you need to head to Cooling Tower #3.

Follow the front room around and go down the stairs. Keep walking straight for a few metres and the door to the Cooling Tower will be on your right.

Open the door and take your first left. Go down the stairs and stop in front of the brewing station. Turn and face the brewing station. On the right side of the station, on the ground, in the wooden crate will be another piece of honeycomb.

Savage Divide

Hornwright Summer Villa

External

4x Honeycomb

Don't forget to grab the 2x Sugar Bombs in the apartment above the garage.

There is a fixed spawn of Liberators here so you can either deal with them first or ignore them.

From the fast travel point, turn in an Easterly direction until you can see the greenhouse in the distance in front of you.

Walk forward until you are standing on the path, at the corner of the greenhouse.

Follow the path along until you get to the end, then turn right. Directly in front of you and up the hill a little bit, you will see the honeycomb floating in the air, next to a Bumble Bear.

Fixed spawn locations - Honeybeasts

The Mire

Freddy Fear's House of Scares

Fixed spawn location

2x Honey beasts

The easiest way to find this location is to have the Stings n Things daily active on your pip boy. The Honey beasts are in the same location as the Bloatflys.

From the fast travel point, turn until you are facing NE. Run straight for about 200 metres. If you keep to a straight NE direction then you will literally trip over the creatures.

You can server hop this location but avoid coming back to the same server if possible. If you keep coming back to the same server then the spawns will start to bug out and only 1 or no Honey beasts will spawn.

Treetops

Random spawn location

1/3 chances to spawn 3x Honey beasts

Savage Divide

Seneca Rocks Visitor Centre

Random spawn location

1/2 chances to spawn 1x Honey beast

From the fast-travel location, follow the road around and stick to the left. If a Honey Beast does spawn then it will be in the car park, between the Red Rocket and the Motel, near the truck.

Middle Mountain Pitstop

Random Spawn Location

1/3 chance to spawn 3x Honey beasts

The Whitesprings Golf Club

Random spawn location

1/6 chances to spawn 2x Honey beasts

From the fast travel point, turn and face East. Walk forward until you get to the pedestrian crossing marked on the road. Turn around and throw a grenade at the green bus that is parked in the car park and then turn back around again.

Turn left and follow the path towards the memorial dome.

If the Honey beasts do spawn then they will spawn near the memorial dome, in the car park next to the dome, or in the garden that is directly in front of the dome.

The Freak Show

Random spawn location

1/7 chances to spawn 3x Honey beasts

Skyline Valley

South River Bridge

Fixed Spawn

1x Honey Beast

From the fast travel point, face East and run over to the bridge. The Honeybeast will spawn on the other side of the bridge.

2x Honey Beasts

Stand on the bridge and face south. Follow the road, and you will see piles of junk on your right. Keep following the road until you see a lantern on the fence to your left. The two Honeybeasts will spawn in front of you on the road.

Events/Pip-Boy Dailys

Project Paradise

Other

  • Honeycomb is tradeable. It can be obtained from other players via trades or by purchasing from their vendor machines.

Notes

  • The Beehive was a Season 4 scoreboard reward that does not give out honeycomb

  • The honeycomb (beeswax) that spawns in the hives in The Honey Haus, during the Fasnacht event is not the aid/cooking version that we are looking for. It is a junk variety and can only be scrapped for acid.

Hi, I'm Kat or Duchess

I'm an Australian data miner who writes farming, event, and food buff guides for Fallout 76.

I believe that all knowledge and information should be free, which is why my guides will never be locked behind a paywall. However, running a website and photo and video editing software does not come cheaply.

So, If you found my guides helpful, please consider buying me a ko-fi (coffee) using the link below.

All monies go towards the tools for writing my guides and maybe for an actual cup of coffee or 3 ;)

Alternatively, share my guides with your fellow vault dwellers and help them to survive the wasteland.
