How to Use This Calculator
Step 1: Understand the Perk
The Junk Shield perk boosts your Damage and Energy Resistance based on two key factors:
Luck (LCK) – Determines your base resistance level.
Quantity of Junk – Multiplies your resistance based on the number of junk items you carry. Note that only the number of items affects the multiplier, not the weight.
Step 2: Review the Graphs
Graph 1 shows how your Luck (LCK) determines your base Damage and Energy Resistance.
Graph 2 shows how carrying different amounts of junk affects your resistance multiplier. This multiplier starts at 1.0 with minimal junk and scales up to a maximum of 2.0 at 100 junk items.
Multiplier Formula: The total resistance is calculated as:
Total Resistance = Base Resistance × Junk Multiplier
Where:
Base Resistance depends on your Luck (LCK).
Junk Multiplier scales up to 2x based on how many junk items you carry.
Step 3: Explore the Table
The table combines Luck and Junk effects, showing:
Luck Points – The input for your base resistance.
Junk Multiplier – The multiplier applied to your base resistance based on the quantity of junk you carry (maxing at 2x).
Base Resistance – Determined by your Luck points.
Total Resistance (After Multiplier) – The final resistance after applying the Junk Multiplier.
The table highlights a soft cap at Luck = 30, where resistance increases at a slower rate.
