How to Use This Calculator

Step 1: Understand the Perk

The Junk Shield perk increases your Damage and Energy Resistance based on two factors:

  • Luck (LCK): Determines the multiplier applied to the Base Resistance.

  • Junk Items: Determines your Base Resistance. The formula for Base Resistance is:

Base Resistance = 0.71 × Junk Items + 4.29 (capped at 100 junk items).

For example, carrying 50 junk items gives you 0.71 × 50 + 4.29 = 39.79 Base Resistance.

Step 2: Enter Your Values

Use the calculator to enter:

  • The number of junk items you are carrying (1-100).

  • Your Luck value (1-100).

Step 3: Check the Results

The calculator will display:

  • Base Resistance: Calculated from your junk items using the formula.

  • Multiplier: Determined by your Luck value.

  • Total Resistance: The final Damage and Energy Resistance are calculated as:

Total Resistance = Base Resistance × Multiplieriplier

The soft cap for Junk Shield is 30 Luck, where resistance increases at a slower rate.

Hey there, I'm Kat, also known as Duchess!

I'm an Aussie data miner who creates guides for farming, events, and food buffs in Fallout 76.

I firmly believe that knowledge should be accessible to everyone, so my guides will always be free. However, maintaining a website and using photo and video editing software can be costly.

If you find my guides useful, here are a few ways you can support me:

- Share My Guides: Help your fellow vault dwellers by sharing my guides.

- Follow Me on Social Media: Keep up with my latest updates by following me on social media.

- One-Time Donation: Buy me a coffee.

- Monthly Contribution: Become a regular supporter by subscribing to my Ko-fi page.

Every bit of support helps cover the costs of creating these guides and maybe even gets me a cup of coffee or three ;)

Thanks for your support!
