Fixed Spawn Locations

Forest

New River Gorge Bridge - East

9 spawns

From the spawn point, run straight toward the map marker. Clear out the ghouls in the parking lot and detonate the blue car.

Face east and head to the cabins on your left. Some bloatflies will spawn in front of the cabins.

Stand at the second cabin and face southwest. Follow the path, and more bloatflies might show up along the path. Keep going down the path behind the main building, and stay left when it splits. Some bloatflies can spawn in front of the first cabin. Then, turn west to find the last bloatfly spawns in front of the second cabin.

If you’re slow or loud, the bloatflies might meet you at the back of the main building.

The Mire

Freddy Fear's House of Scares

6 spawns

The easiest way to find this location is to activate the Stings n' Things daily quest in your Pip-Boy, as the Honey Beasts are located in the same area as the Bloatfly Glands.

After you spawn in, head northeast and run behind the main building. Keep moving northeast, navigating around rocks and trees. Eventually, you’ll come across a small half-cave on your left. If no one else has been through recently, Honey Beasts and Bloatflies should attack as you pass by.

Mire's Eye

3 Spawns

From the spawn point, head north and keep running straight for a bit. You’ll eventually come to a clearing on your right, where you’ll see a broken white tent, two sleeping bags, and a rusty Jeep. The Bloatflies should attack once you're close enough.

Skyline Valley

The Trading Post

3 spawns

From the spawn point, turn east until you're in line with the Stony Man Lookout map marker. Run straight ahead until you reach the rock cliff at the edge of the road. The Bloatflies should attack from behind on your right side. If they don't, stop at the rock cliff edge, turn west, and walk a few steps up the hill—they should spawn at that point.

Research Site Saxony

3 spawns

From the spawn point, turn northwest, jump over the trailer marked with a "5," and continue running forward until you reach the cliff face. Navigate around, or use a jetpack or jump to get on top of the cliff. Once you're on top, turn northwest and follow the cliff edge until you spot a picnic basket and blanket. The Bloatflies will spawn around the picnic.

Chance to Spawn Locations

If there are no directions then it means that the spawns are in that location/directly on the map marker.

External

20% to 50% chance to spawn 3 or more Bloatflies

Forest

Aaronholt Homestead

In the back field where the Cranberries spawn.

The Giant Tea Pot

Savage Divide

Hopewell Cave

Spruce Knob Campground

Spawn 1

From the spawn point, turn and head toward Foundation. Stop when you reach the car park and locate the ute/pickup truck with the kayak/canoe in the back. Stand in front of the truck, facing south. There should be a dirt path in front of you.

Follow the path, and at the first fork, take the left path. Continue following it until you reach a T-junction. If no one has been through recently, three ticks should spawn and attack. Keep going straight until you reach another fork. At this point, take the path on the right and follow it to the end. The insects will spawn at the campsite with the three tents.

Spawn 2

Turn around and retrace your steps to the T-junction and take the path on your right. Follow the path south, passing the boathouse on your right. Continue along the path until you reach the campsite with a blue canvas tent.

Spawn 3

Stand in the campfire at the blue tent campsite and face north. Walk straight ahead, staying as close to north as possible. Look for a white tent on your right. Turn right, enter the campsite, and the insect or Bloatfly will spawn there.

Uncanny Caverns

In the car park and the main building.

Bastion Park

The Mire

Crevasse Dam

At the back of the dam, on the bridge, and over the water on the left.

Haven Church

Thunder Mountain Substation TM-01

Sometimes the Gulper and Angler's kill the insects before you finish loading in.

Cranberry Bog

Thunder Mountain Substation TM-02

Skyline Valley

Makeout Point

Spawn 1

Spawn 2

From the spawn point, turn left and follow the dirt path to the main road. Once there, turn left and continue along the road until you reach the silver and red truck trailer blocking the way. On your right, you’ll see a dirt path leading up the hill—follow this path to the top. Once at the top, align yourself with the Thunder Mountain Substation TM-03 (Dangerous Pastimes) map marker and walk slowly forward. The Bloatflies should attack you as you approach the marker.

Hey there, I'm Kat, also known as Duchess!

I'm an Aussie data miner who creates guides for farming, events, and food buffs in Fallout 76.

I firmly believe that knowledge should be accessible to everyone, so my guides will always be free. However, maintaining a website and using photo and video editing software can be costly.

If you find my guides useful, here are a few ways you can support me:

Every bit of support helps cover the costs of creating these guides and maybe even gets me a cup of coffee or three ;)

Thanks for your support!
